楚商远航，情系故里：荆州，古称江陵，是楚文化的重要发祥地之一。千百年来，荆州儿女秉承敢为人先、重信守义、兼容并蓄的楚商精神，走出荆州，走向世界。随着中加交流不断深化，越来越多荆州籍企业家、专业人士和留学生来到加拿大，在金融、地产、贸易、科技、教育、制造业等领域艰苦创业、扎根发展。
From Jingzhou to Canada: Jingzhou, historically known as Jiangling, is one of the important birthplaces of Chu culture. For generations, people from Jingzhou have carried forward the Chu merchant spirit of courage, integrity, openness, and perseverance. As exchanges between China and Canada deepened, more Jingzhou entrepreneurs, professionals, and students came to Canada, building their careers in finance, real estate, trade, technology, education, manufacturing, and other sectors.
De Jingzhou au Canada : Jingzhou, anciennement appelée Jiangling, est l’un des berceaux importants de la culture Chu. Depuis des générations, les habitants de Jingzhou portent l’esprit des commerçants Chu : courage, intégrité, ouverture et persévérance. Avec le développement des échanges entre la Chine et le Canada, de plus en plus d’entrepreneurs, de professionnels et d’étudiants originaires de Jingzhou se sont établis au Canada dans les domaines de la finance, de l’immobilier, du commerce, de la technologie, de l’éducation et de l’industrie.
海外创业，抱团发展：身在异国他乡的楚商深知创业不易。面对语言、文化、资源和商业环境的差异，许多荆州乡贤都曾经历孤军奋战的艰难阶段。正因如此，大家始终期盼建立一个属于荆州人的共同平台，凝聚乡情、共享资源、互帮互助、共谋发展。
Building together overseas: Jingzhou entrepreneurs abroad understood the challenges of starting over in a foreign country. Facing differences in language, culture, resources, and business environment, many worked hard through difficult years on their own. This shared experience created a strong desire to build a common platform for Jingzhou people in Canada — a home for friendship, support, resources, and cooperation.
S’unir à l’étranger : Les entrepreneurs originaires de Jingzhou savaient combien il était difficile de se développer dans un pays étranger. Face aux différences de langue, de culture, de ressources et d’environnement commercial, beaucoup ont traversé des années difficiles. Cette expérience commune a renforcé le souhait de créer une plateforme pour les gens de Jingzhou au Canada — un espace d’amitié, d’entraide, de ressources et de coopération.
千呼万唤始出来：经过多年酝酿和共同努力，2017年，加拿大荆州商会终于应运而生。它不仅是旅加荆州人的共同家园，也是连接荆州与加拿大的重要桥梁。
A long-awaited beginning: After years of preparation and shared effort, the Canada Jingzhou Chamber of Commerce was finally established in 2017. It became not only a common home for Jingzhou people in Canada, but also an important bridge connecting Jingzhou and Canada.

Elle est devenue non seulement une maison commune pour les gens de Jingzhou au Canada, mais aussi un pont important entre Jingzhou et le Canada.
2017年7月14日清晨：荆州市委书记杨智亲自率领荆州市政府代表团一行七人抵达多伦多，并专程赶赴尼亚加拉大瀑布市，签署《中华人民共和国湖北省荆州市与加拿大安大略省尼亚加拉大瀑布市建立友好交往城市备忘录》。
Morning of July 14, 2017: Mr. Yang Zhi, Secretary of the Jingzhou Municipal Party Committee, led a seven-member Jingzhou government delegation to Toronto and then to Niagara Falls to sign the Memorandum of Understanding on Friendly Exchanges between Jingzhou, Hubei, China and Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

Yang Zhi, secrétaire du Comité municipal du Parti de Jingzhou, a conduit une délégation gouvernementale de sept personnes à Toronto, puis à Niagara Falls, afin de signer le protocole d’entente établissant des relations d’échanges amicaux entre Jingzhou, Hubei, Chine, et Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

友城签约：杨智书记一行受到尼亚加拉大瀑布市政府热情接待。大瀑布市市长 Jim Diodati 先生与荆州市委书记杨智先生分别介绍两座城市的经济、文化与发展特色。双方发现，两座城市虽相隔万里，却同样拥有丰富淡水资源、旅游文化优势、教育科技基础和农业发展空间，未来可在多领域互相学习、共同发展。
Sister-city signing: The delegation was warmly received by the City of Niagara Falls. Mayor Jim Diodati and Secretary Yang Zhi introduced the economic, cultural, and development characteristics of their respective cities. Both sides recognized many shared strengths, including abundant freshwater resources, tourism and culture, education and technology, and opportunities in agriculture and future cooperation.

Le maire Jim Diodati et le secrétaire Yang Zhi ont présenté les caractéristiques économiques, culturelles et de développement de leurs villes respectives. Les deux parties ont constaté de nombreux points communs, notamment les ressources en eau douce, le tourisme, la culture, l’éducation, la technologie et les possibilités de coopération agricole.
两座城市：尼亚加拉大瀑布市位于加拿大安大略省南部尼亚加拉区，是世界著名旅游城市，每年接待来自世界各地约一千二百万人次游客，加拿大90%以上冰酒也产自该地区。荆州市位于长江中游两湖平原腹地，拥有2700多年建城历史，是楚文化重镇、国家大遗址保护示范区、长江重要港口城市，也是全国优质农产品供应基地和精细化工产品基地。
Two cities with shared potential: Niagara Falls, located in southern Ontario’s Niagara Region, is a world-renowned tourism city that welcomes around 12 million visitors annually and is closely associated with Canada’s icewine industry. Jingzhou, located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, has more than 2,700 years of history. It is a major center of Chu culture, an important Yangtze River port city, and a base for high-quality agricultural products and fine chemicals.
Deux villes au potentiel commun : Niagara Falls, située dans la région de Niagara au sud de l’Ontario, est une ville touristique de renommée mondiale qui accueille environ 12 millions de visiteurs chaque année et est étroitement liée à l’industrie canadienne du vin de glace. Jingzhou, située au cours moyen du fleuve Yangtsé, possède plus de 2 700 ans d’histoire. Elle est un centre important de la culture Chu, une ville portuaire majeure du Yangtsé, ainsi qu’une base de produits agricoles de qualité et de produits chimiques fins.
历史性时刻：Jim Diodati 市长对荆州市代表团在紧凑行程中专程到访大瀑布市表示欢迎，并对荆州这座历史文化名城充满期待。杨智书记正式邀请大瀑布市政府代表团未来访问荆州。双方均表示，此次签约是两座城市交流合作的重要里程碑。
A historic moment: Mayor Jim Diodati welcomed the Jingzhou delegation’s visit despite its tight schedule and expressed strong interest in the historic city of Jingzhou. Secretary Yang Zhi formally invited a Niagara Falls government delegation to visit Jingzhou in the future. Both sides viewed the signing as an important milestone in cooperation between the two cities.
Un moment historique : Le maire Jim Diodati a salué la visite de la délégation de Jingzhou malgré un calendrier chargé et a exprimé son grand intérêt pour cette ville historique et culturelle. Le secrétaire Yang Zhi a officiellement invité une délégation gouvernementale de Niagara Falls à visiter Jingzhou. Les deux parties ont considéré cette signature comme une étape importante dans la coopération entre les deux villes.

Afternoon of July 14, 2017: The Canada Jingzhou Chamber of Commerce held its official inauguration ceremony. Mayor Jim Diodati of Niagara Falls and Mr. Zhang Jun, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Jingzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, were appointed Permanent Honorary Presidents of the Chamber. Guests attending the ceremony included Mr. Yang Zhi, Senator Victor Oh, Markham Councillor Alan Ho, and Ms. Grace Tam, Senior Business Development Officer of the City of Markham.
Après-midi du 14 juillet 2017 : La Chambre de commerce de Jingzhou au Canada a tenu sa cérémonie officielle d’inauguration. Le maire de Niagara Falls, Jim Diodati, et M. Zhang Jun, secrétaire du Parti et président de la Fédération des Chinois revenus de l’étranger de Jingzhou, ont été nommés présidents honoraires permanents de la Chambre. Parmi les invités figuraient M. Yang Zhi, le sénateur Victor Oh, le conseiller municipal de Markham Alan Ho, ainsi que Mme Grace Tam, agente principale du développement économique de la Ville de Markham.

Founding President: Mr. Eric Luo became the Founding President of the Canada Jingzhou Chamber of Commerce. As a Canadian overseas Chinese from Jingzhou, CEO of Wealth Life Wealth Management Inc., and a VIP member of the Canada-China Entrepreneurs Federation, Mr. Luo had lived in Canada for more than a decade, achieved distinction in the financial sector, and long devoted himself to building platforms for Canada-China business exchange.

A bridge and platform: The establishment of the Chamber represented the shared efforts of Mr. Eric Luo and Jingzhou community leaders in Canada to create an efficient, friendly, and mutually beneficial platform between Jingzhou and Canada. The Chamber serves as a bridge between Jingzhou and Niagara Falls, while also helping connect the Jingzhou Economic Development Zone with Canadian resources and opportunities.

Eric Luo et des leaders de la communauté de Jingzhou au Canada pour établir une plateforme efficace, amicale et mutuellement bénéfique entre Jingzhou et le Canada. Moving forward: Since its founding, the Canada Jingzhou Chamber of Commerce has upheld the values of unity, mutual support, development, and shared success. It actively promotes trade, investment, education, technology, and cultural exchange between Canada and Jingzhou. Today, the Chamber has more than 1,000 active members and connects with over 500 businesses and institutions, becoming one of the influential Chinese business organizations in Canada.
